When it comes to gift giving, I know that I am difficult to buy for. It’s not that I am unappreciative, but there is rarely anything I want, which means I usually end up taking my gifts back for store credit. Last weekend it was my birthday, and as usual, there was nothing I wanted in particular.

All day my wife and kids were anxious to give me my present, but they restrained themselves until later in the evening. As I opened the present, admittedly, I was prepared to be underwhelmed. However, I ripped off the paper to find a Coco bidet. As hygiene is one of my highest concerns, I was ecstatic about the prospect of enjoying a pristine derrière at all times.

Modern Day Bidets

For myriad reasons, citizens in the United States are reluctant to outfit their bathrooms with bidets. Despite the fact that they are more sanitary and our brethren across the pond have been endorsing them for years, you will be hard-pressed to find a home in America outfitted with the bidet. Part of this reluctance can likely be attributed to the misconception that installing a bidet is a complex process.

Unlike traditional standalone units, contemporary bidet seats can easily be installed on your current toilet. They feature self-cleaning wands, which provide an unparalleled cleaning experience. In addition, many come with premium peripherals like heated seats, deodorizers and wireless remotes.

This winter, my wife and I spent six weeks traveling around Europe. Having not been across the Atlantic in over a decade, we carefully budgeted our time to ensure we experienced as much as possible. We’ve come to the consensus that we prefer most of the cultural norms in America, but there is one aspect of the European culture that we fell in love with.

Everywhere that we visited, the bathrooms were outfitted with bidets, and after six weeks of that luxury, turning back to TP was out of the question. As soon as we got back, I went online and purchased bidet kits for every toilet in our house. After seeing how easy it is to outfit your toilet with a bidet, I am amazed that more people aren’t doing it.

Bidets On the Go

After using a bidet for the last few years, I have become quite accustomed to luxury. I will go to great lengths to ensure that I never relieve myself away from home, lest I have to revert to the archaic use of toilet paper. While this MO works when I am in the general vicinity of my home, I recently scheduled a trip to Nebraska and was horrified at the prospect of being without my bidet.

Holding it for 13 days was entirely out of the question, so I quickly began doing research to find comparable alternatives to my bidet. Luckily, I was able to find a convenient hand held bidet that I can easily take with me anywhere. While it certainly doesn’t boast the premium features of my model at home, it will get the job done.

Up until this year, I had conceded the fact that I would be perpetually disappointed by the gifts I received for my birthday. It is certainly not due to lack of effort, but the things that my wife and kids buy me always seem a bit mundane and superfluous. This year, I was prepared for another let down, but much to my delight my family came through with a wonderful surprise.

As somewhat of a germaphobe, I am constantly looking for means of improving my hygiene. You can imagine my delight when I tore off the wrapping paper to find a Brondell bidet. Now I will finally be able to forego the antiquated routine of TP and achieve a truly clean posterior.

When it comes to bidet technology, Coco Bidets are the gold standard. While they may be a bit pricier than their peers, after one use you’ll know where that extra money went. It used to be that bidets simply provided a refreshing posterior wash, but not any more.

Coco bidets come with first-class amenities, including self-cleaning nozzles, adjustable water temperature, deodorizers and more. Despite all of their features, the bidets are surprisingly easy to install. Once you try out a bidet, in guarantee you’ll never go back to the archaic use of TP.

When I moved to New York from Austria last June, it certainly took some getting used to. I was anticipating the change in currency, driving on the other side of the road and other major differences, but it was the little, day-to-day things that took a while to acclimate to. One of my first orders of business was to make my house feel more like my home.

After using the bathroom for the first time, I quickly noticed that it was missing one essential fixture: the . I knew that it would be pricey to install a separate unit, so I did some research to evaluate all of my options and stumbled upon bidet conversion kits. These convenient units attach to your toilet and have premium features that I had only dreamed of.
